A Bad Example of a Perfect Curse
The story is set in a Western fantasy world where curses shape people’s lives and destinies.
The heroine, Adriana (Adi), loses her twin brother Adrian to a mysterious and powerful curse. Because she shares the same cursed essence as him, people begin to treat her as his replacement, even calling her by his name. After cutting her hair in mourning, Adi chooses to take her brother’s place as a knight and continues serving the kingdom under his identity.
During her duties, Adi is assigned to protect Duke Julius, a nobleman who is also suffering from a severe curse—one that halted his physical growth during childhood. As they spend time together, Julius discovers that physical contact, especially kissing Adi, temporarily eases his curse.
This unexpected connection binds them together, leading to a complicated relationship filled with tension, emotional conflict, and slow-burning romance. Both characters struggle with their own pain, identity, and the burden of their curses while searching for a way to survive in a world that labels them as “imperfect.”
