Without a second’s hesitation, Herwin rejected Lucia’s confession.

Lucia has had a crush on Herwin for 13 years, from when she was 8 years old to when she was 21.
Throughout her 98 confessions, Lucia’s feelings for Herwin have always been the same, but so have Herwin’s.
Despite the deep sense of loss she felt, Lucia still couldn’t let go of him.
Her parents offer her a partner.
Unable to resist, Lucia decides to confess to Herwin one last time.
“I’m sorry, Lucia.”
For the 99th and final time, Herwin does not accept her.
Realizing that it’s all over, Lucia decides to fulfill her parents’ promise and go to the front row.

To be honest, I’m not rooting for the male lead. There’s a difference between being romantically dense as hell and what he is… He OUTRIGHT rejected the FL for 13 years, let rumors galore go through school and society about her one-sided crush on him leading to long-term humiliation for her, and for years tell her TO HER FACE that he liked another one of their friends (though he never bothered to try and date the friend). And after 99 rejections, ONLY after the FL tried to pickup the pieces of her heart and move on, does the ML “suddenly” realize he liked the FL and not the friend. He is selfish and stupid AF, regardless of that pretty face and hot bod. He need more than just a few months of suffering he’s going through vs her constant humiliation of 13 YEARS by ch47. Though the writing is obviously on the wall that the author is going to go by tropes soon, and have the ML and FL get together… I hope they don’t and that dumbass of a ML suffers galore! Let a man suffer his regret for more than 3 minutes, since he did the FL SOOO dirty all these YEARS. Ugh.
