Seems there was multiple incidents that caused the main characters to become distant seems one is her seeing that other boy get hurt and ml was over him. Thinking they might of interacted a couple times past that which caused her to distance herself from him. Thinking at the very least the boy being bloody on the stairs isn’t the ml fault. Seems the ml mother was getting rid of a dead body. Seems theres something the ml trying to repress in his memories wonder if the ml father was never the killer but it was his mother and he has repressed memories of that. It’s hard to imagine this story will have a complete happy ending. Can only imagine either it ends with one or both dying some way or in the end they decide to run off some where to start a new life. Can see characters dying especially if the mother is the true killer.
It would be better for it to end badly than with a fake happy ending, like in the short series called Cosmic Horror.
